:: Finally!!! ::

Happy hump day everyone!!! Wow, it's the middle of the week already.
Boy it's gone by quickly.

Well, without further ado, I give you what I have renamed the "Headache, pull out my hair, but oh so easy" shawl.
This was my first attempt at something lacy and wearable for an adult.
I recycled some denim cotton yarn from a skirt that I crocheted for myself last the 4th of July. (The skirt felt too thick and heavy).
So I found a pattern labeled "Easy" and dared myself to actually start and finish.
Not too shabby, huh?
My daughter loved it!!! It's just the kind of thing she loves to throw over a tank top for cool evening strolls with her little ones.

Next, my very first knitting in the round project. I found it soooo easy!!!
A bit uncomfortable on the hands, but I guess it takes some getting use to.

I wanted to knit something special to give to Milla for her 7th birthday. So I came up with this pattern from www.to- knit-knitting-stitches.com.
A very pretty three tiered skirt, the yarn over increases make for a very pretty eyelet design.
She loved it, paired with a little peasant top, it is a cute summer outfit.

I am now officially a knitter. Yay!!!

Of course I couldn't leave out a bit of the hooky from this post. So I'm including something I made just for fun.
Dolly and me hats for Milla and her American Girl doll. I just had to relax after all that knitting. :)

Well my dears, that's about it for now.
I am in the lookout for a nice pattern for a crocheted summer skirt, any suggestions?

Have a fantastic rest of your weekend.

  1. That shawl is awesome! I love both the color and the pattern. And Milla's skirt is so adorable; looks really cute on her.
I like the idea of dolly and me hats. Many of my girlfriends have little girls. I can make such hats for them.

  5. Oh wow! I been missing so much!
I am sorry I have not been in touch lately, but I had my aunty from Chile and that took every single spare time of the day. Now she is in Germany continuing her trip around Europe.
Slowly but surely, we are getting back to the routine and there is still plenty to catch up with... Thomas has his Grade 1 piano exam this Saturday and that is very scary... plus everything else :S I just singed them for swimming lessons and drama lessons... oh dear... you know what. I have not seen mu crochet or my needles.... I wish I can just relax a bit with my yarns! :S

    1. Hi Lory!!! It's great to have you back.
I know what it's like to have family over, last August I had a houseful of family from Chicago that came over for my sons wedding.
But getting back to your routine is good too.

As you can see I've been busy teaching myself to knit. It hasnt been easy but I'm getting there.

Yes, that is my very own princess Katherine. She and her babies own most of the things I crochet, and knit. (pobrecita).

Anyway, glad to have you back!!!

BTW, I haven't been able to post any comments on your blog. :(

      Take care!!!!
