Pretty Potholder
I know I know, be responsible!!! Do the things that need doing, stay away from frivolous projects.
I couldn't stand it!!! That vintage Potholder pattern jumped out at me every time I looked through the patterns which I have stored in my iPhone. Then after seeing the beautiful pillows that some of the other ladies have posted on their blogs with the same pattern, well, I just had to practice by making the Potholder first.
So now that I know how easy it is to make this gorgeous fou fou pattern, next I will make a big poufy, girly cushion.
But for now I hope I can impress my ever-so-crafty mom with some of my handiwork when she arrives next week.
Bye for now, have a great rest of your day!!!! :0)

:: Another Fine Mess ::
A while back I had promised myself not to get into anymore long term projects, at least for now.
My oldest son will be getting married in two weeks and I am in charge of sewing the flower girls dresses.
Well, I've gotten farther with this blanket then all the other things I have to do for our blessed event. (I started it a week ago)
Now all I want to do is pick up this project and work on it! The colors beckon me everytime I walk by my couch where it lays in waiting, nothing else matters but finishing it.
But deep down inside I know that I must be adult about these matters, responsibility calls, the dresses must be sewn, the bedroom must be painted, the bathroom too for that matter. There are kitchen cabinets to be wiped down and oiled........ and on and on..... All this before My family's arrival next Wednesday.
Will I be able to resist? No, Of course not!!! So, I must put my blanket away in a box, hide it in the darkest corner of my crafty closet where it will taunt me no longer. :(
But for now, I will say good bye to her by allowing myself just one more row. :0)
Good bye for now, wish me luck, and the will power to resist.
Have a great rest of your day!!!!

Granny Mania.
I am finally done with the pink and green "Granny Mania" blankie. For some strange reason this big ol' granny wanted to do the twist. (as the square got larger it wanted to be a circle) But it sill turned out pretty, and I know that little Miss Ireland will love to cuddle with it. So without any furthur ado, VOILA!!!!!!
You may notice that the last round of green is slightly narrower, well, that's what happens when you just work out of whatever you find in your stash!. I ran out of green but at least all my rounds are in multiples of three. :)
Not too shabby, don't you think?
Well, Have a great rest of your day!!!!!

Granny Mania
About two weeks ago I was browsing through some of my favorite blogs and noticed how some of the ladies have postings on different projects with granny squares.
So I was inspired to start grannying, (is that a legitimate english word?).
Well, Jacquie of BunnyMummy-Jacquie.blogspot.com is crocheting a beautiful multi colored granny blanket.
And Lucy of Attic25.typepad.com has some very nice kitchen stool covers on one of her posts.
So, I was inspired, and this is what I have come up with so far,
I still have a few ends to weave in, but I love how they turned out.
I am still working on the blanket so, when it is finished I will post pics. I have not done grannies in a while, but it's always good to go back to the beginning.
Well, This is it for now, have a great rest of your day, and enjoy the summer while it"s still here!!!

Baby Liberty sweater completed!!!
Oh and BTW, standing next to baby is yours truly wearing the finished alternative denim skirt.
The pattern came from the Happy Hooker book by Debbie Stoller. I did sort of tweak it a bit. But not much.
Will post on that later.
Bye for now, and have a great rest of your day!!!
